Job Description: System Engineer for the core operating components of the IBM System Z Platform (z/OS, JES2, SMPE, Automation, ISV Product support, Problem Analysis, On-call). You will be providing technical z/OS operating system and core component support through product installation and maintenance, problem analysis, automation, and on-call support.
Required and Desired Skills: 5-10 years experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the following: Technical Skills
• z/OS v2.3 structure and logic (z/OS v2.4 experience is beneficial)
• z/OS problem determination through dump analysis
• JES2 knowledge
• SMP/E product installation and maintenance
• IBM's System Automation product
• JCL and IBM utilities
• VSAM files
• OMVS
• ICF Catalog structures
Soft Skills
• Team player
• Knowledge of Agile practices (huddles, cards)
• Microsoft tools (Office, Excel, Word, Teams)
