This role of a Software Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the software development team and ensuring high-quality project execution. The manager will collaborate with company leaders to establish requirements, manage the development lifecycle, mentor and develop internal staff, and oversee the design, testing, and debugging of proprietary applications. They will also define application roadmaps, manage sprint processes, evaluate new technologies, and remain up-to-date with industry trends. This role involves supervisory responsibilities for a team of 6 to 10 employees and requires 5-7 years of relevant experience in a .NET environment, architectural expertise, and critical thinking skills. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration is preferred, but relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

In addition to managing the development team, the role involves leading by example, participating in team efforts to achieve department and company goals, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Software Development Manager will stay engaged in the tech community, evaluate and implement new technologies, and report progress to senior leadership. Overall, the position emphasizes the importance of quality, agility, and proactive leadership in the software development process.

The candidate for this role should possess advanced computer skills, including proficiency in complex computer operations, intermediate programming in 4th and 5th generation languages, relational databases, and operating systems. They should also demonstrate proficiency in various software packages such as Microsoft Office (basic level), Outlook (basic), Word (basic), Excel (basic), CRM (basic), Windows (intermediate), Internet/Intranet (basic), Adobe PDF (basic), and PVC Connect (advanced). Additionally, they should have expertise in Microsoft SQL (advanced), C#, HTML, and CSS (advanced), with an entry-level understanding of Microsoft Blazor.

In terms of communication skills, the candidate should be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and technical procedures, as well as write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effective presentation skills are also required. These computer and communication skills are essential for success in this role, given the technical nature of the position and the need to collaborate with various stakeholders.
